I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business. Previously, I worked at Microsoft as a Data Science intern, where I developed an unsupervised machine learning model to detect system-failed purchase for Microsoft's global services. By implementing a near real-time monitoring system, my solution saved approximately $2-5 million in daily revenue from potentially failed purchase events.
On the side, I love working with data. Motivated by my curiosity in the power of data-driven storytelling, I have completed different data case studies spanning across different industries: e-commerce, marketing, service, and so on. My goal is to showcase how to leverage data science in making impactful business decisions.
Outside academia, I co-founded and served as club president of the UMass Data Science Club. I've led our club to remarkable growth a remarkable 6x membership growth to 300 within 4 semesters. We've organized workshops on Machine Learning and brought in over 20 industry leaders from top S&P500 tech companies (Google, Microsoft, Nasdaq, Nike, and so on) to accelerate our community's career growth.
